EASTERN CAPE
The terrain is very diverse in topography and scenery. It ranges from coastal forests, savanna grassland, and semi-desert plains to windswept mountains. The temperature during the day is moderate and can become cold during the night, with the occasional, light snowstorm in winter causing temperatures to drop below zero.
NORTHERN CAPE
The terrain consists of vast open plains with vegetation differing from semi-desert to complete Kalahari-desert. The days can become very hot and the nights can go down to sub-zero temperatures. This also includes the well-known Karoo area, with shrub bush and stone “koppies”.
LIMPOPO PROVINCE
This is the legendary “bushveld” region of our country. The topography is mostly flat to rolling sandy areas with mountains and small hills in certain areas. The vegetation consists of thorny grassland with scattered acacia trees to thick thorn bush in certain places. The days are warm and lovely with moderate to cold temperatures in the early morning hours. This area is a hunter’s dream.
